Jenna and Shane have the sweetest, purest, best-friend, belly-laughing love. I got the honor and privilege of creepily watching Shane ask Jenna to be his wife this past weekend and it swelled my heart with joy.
Jenna was my college roomie -- one of the three blondies that made up the trio that was ever by my side through all of the ups and downs. She has such an infectious spirit. She is brilliant -- currently in Dental School and killin it! She is beautiful, kind, patient (and impatient when not required), spunky, funny, silly, gracious, honest, straight-up, and just plain weird. In Shane she has found her life partner and her perfect compliment. I've seen enough sneaky snaps to know he compliments her in the weird areas, but I have gotten to see beneath his exterior with the planning of his proposal and he is SO GREAT. It makes me so happy to know that my bestie will have such a wonderful man by her side.
Shane is wise, patient, kind, compassionate, empathetic, sensitive, strong, steadfast, and supportive. He encourages Jenna day by day as she creepily carves out fake teeth for practice while sitting in her apartment. He included each and every one of her friends in the proposal planning and celebration process -- reaching out to an often unresponsive grad student in NC (me) and another blondie all the way in Spain!
I can't wait to stand by her side as bridesmaid, harpist, photographer......disaster resolver....not sure what else when they tie the knot and dance to ALL the stanky leg this summer. Much love <3
